Why train with Harlow
Start learning today
Gain immediate access to a comprehensive online learning portal filled with foundational Pilates knowledge, allowing you to explore the material at your own pace while building confidence from day one.
Practice what you preach
Receive a 3-month unlimited Harlow membership, giving you the opportunity to immerse yourself in the method, refine your own practice and experience Pilates through the lens of both student and teacher.
Be mentored by experienced educators
Teaching Pilates is more than memorising exercises. We show you how to educate, inspire and connect with your students, developing the confidence and awareness to create embodied and meaningful experiences that support long-term success in the industry.
At Harlow, we believe great teachers are built through knowledge, practice and mentorship. This is where your journey begins.
How it works
Enrol today with self paced learning. Upon enrolment, you gain access to a comprehensive portal of foundational knowledge principles, methodology, and repertoire, available to explore at your own pace. Our two-day intensive workshop is built to stand on its own: hands-on, in-person, and focused entirely on application.
What this means for you: You can complete your theory requirements before or after the workshops, giving you the flexibility to work in your own time.
From theory
to practice
Two days designed to shift the way you understand, experience and begin teaching Pilates. This intensive bridges the space between learning movement and actually leading it.
It’s a practical, hands-on immersion into the foundations of Matwork Pilates, designed to move you out of theory and into embodied teaching experience.
You’ll be guided through cueing, sequencing and foundational teaching principles in a supportive environment that prioritises confidence, clarity and real-world application from the very beginning. This is where your transition into teaching begins, not by memorising information, but by stepping into the role with structure, guidance and support.
Accredited & industry ready
Upon completing the course requirements, you'll be eligible for your Certificate from Zama Institute, a globally recognised qualification that opens the door to a professional teaching career.
Your certification is accredited with Physical Activity Australia (KAP1994) and attracts 3 PDP points, meaning you'll graduate with credentials that are respected across the industry and recognised by fitness and wellness employers Australia-wide.
With your qualification in hand, you'll be ready to teach Level 1 Matwork Pilates professionally, whether that's in a studio, gym, or building a business of your own.
This course is delivered by Harlow under licence from the Zama Institute, which provides the online training platform.
Why Choose This Course?
Our goal is not simply to certify instructors. Our goal is to help shape the next generation of knowledgeable, authentic and industry-leading Pilates professionals.
In partnership with Zama Institute, we have combined industry-leading Pilates education with the Harlow Method to create an experience that develops both technical knowledge and teaching excellence. While a strong understanding of Pilates exercises, anatomy and movement principles is essential, great instructors require far more than subject knowledge alone. They need to create a meaningful class experience. Teaching is both a science and an art, and our program is designed to develop both.
We are proud that our curriculum and method has been created in Brisbane, drawing on years of experience training and mentoring instructors locally. Instead of trying to adapt International Qualifications to the Australian Market, our course reflects the needs of the industry here, combining professional standards and real-world studio experience relevant to Australian instructors.
You'll graduate with more than a qualification. You'll leave with the confidence, practical teaching skills and industry understanding needed to succeed in today's movement industry.
