What made you want to complete your teacher training? Tell us a little bit more about your background.

I started dancing at a young age then moved into the fitness industry. After working as a dance teacher and a personal trainer, becoming a Brisbane hot pilates instructor seemed like a logical step.

What kind of experience do you aim to create in your classes?

Fun, challenging and safe. I want everyone to be challenged but at the same time enjoy doing it.

What do you like to focus on in your classes?

All over body and doing something different each class.

In one short sentence, how would you describe your teaching style?

Flow, fun and power.

What is your favourite class to teach?

Hot barre pilates!

Food, quality time and good coffee.

What do you love about yoga?
Yoga makes me move with a purpose, think with kindness and speak the truth. It covers everything: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.

What made you want to complete your teacher training? Tell us a little bit more about your background.
I have been practicing yoga on and off since 2014. I knew the missing piece was to do my 250-hr YTT and once I did, I was equipped to share yoga with my family and the community. It’s the best decision I’ve ever made.

What kind of experience do you aim to create in your classes?
My teaching style has always prioritised safety of the members and I like to be fun (nothing too serious!) and also incorporate mindfulness so you come out of the class fresh in mind and body.

What do you like to focus on in your classes?
Strengthening, full body movement and mindfulness. We have to have a balance between the physical and the mental.

In one short sentence, how would you describe your teaching style?
For everyone.

What is your favourite class to teach?
Hot power!

What are 3 things that make your heart sing?
Family, my dog Luna and nature.

What do you love about yoga/pilates?

I love that both practices offer precision and focus in the body and mind but also space to be curious and explore what is possible.

What made you want to complete your teacher training? Tell us a little bit more about your background.

I grew up dancing, when performing became a bit more serious as an adult I became interested in practices that gave me the strength, control, mobility and awareness required to create possibility in my movement whilst staying injury free. I wanted to deepen my learning through teaching and sharing with others way to find possibility in their bodies.

What kind of experience do you aim to create in your classes?

I like to create a space where you are in the driver’s seat of your practice, I’ll create layers and many offerings, like a smorgers board you pick and choose the intensity and way you want to work in each class.

What do you like to focus on in your classes?

I like to focus on coaching presence and precision in the way movement is activated, as well as building a buzz and energy together.

Fun, thoughtful and occasionally spicy

Moving my Body, connecting with people and my miniature dachshund, Winnie.

What do you love about yoga/pilates?

I love the connection it holds to mind, body and soul. A series of low impact movements can deliver such defined results!

What made you want to complete your teacher training? Tell us a little bit more about your background.

I was drawn to pilates from a young age. I loved how it lengthened and toned my body, while being fun and challenging at the same time. I was addicted! I got my certification so I could share my love for it.

What kind of experience do you aim to create in your classes?

A fun and challenging class with great music that also highlights low impact movement in a dynamic workout. While always drawing back to mindfulness.

What do you like to focus on in your classes?

Form, engagement and reminders on how core is our powerhouse.

Fun, dynamic, sculpting.

KRYSTYNA

What do you love about yoga/pilates?

Yoga has changed my life, so I want to pass on this sacred practice and help others improve theirs. I am passionate about connecting people to their inner light and wisdom, appreciating and celebrating their unique and authentic selves.

What made you want to complete your teacher training? Tell us a little bit more about your background.

 I had been practising Yoga for over six years, and after a trip to Nepal to meditate with Tibetan nuns and monks, I knew this was my path. Shortly afterwards, I completed my teacher training at Inna Bliss in Brisbane. Next year, I want to further my studies and visit India, where the practice originated.

What kind of experience do you aim to create in your classes?

A healing and profoundly enriching experience where Yogis feel safe to deepen their connection to self. To connect mind, body, and spirit and feel joy and love. My intent is for every person to feel more balanced, connected and confident than when they first walked into the studio.

What do you like to focus on in your classes?

Focusing on breath and mindful movement, balancing strength and stability with ease and flow.

In one short sentence, how would you describe your teaching style?

Sacred, strong, fun. I love creating a dance-like flow combining strength and stability infused with mantra, meditation, and pranayama.

What do you love about yoga/pilates?

Yoga reconnected me to my body and helped me find physical and mental strength that I didn’t know I had. I also love the spiritual side, yoga introduced me to my spiritual side.

What made you want to complete your teacher training? Tell us a little bit more about your background.

I started practicing yoga online during Covid, and then the city shut down; including my full-time employment. I was stuck at home so I decided to do my teacher training. Originally I did it for my own personal practice. When I moved to Brisbane I started teaching full-time and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I love helping other people discover the endless benefits of this ancient practice.

What kind of experience do you aim to create in your classes?

I teach a strong and challenging class, with light-hearted compassion and room for exploration. My goal is to help people feel empowered.

What do you like to focus on in your classes?

I usually work with a peak pose, making sure to prepare the body with activation and opening to achieve the peak. I always include a drill and a specific theme for my class; a physical theme as well as a spiritual/mental theme.

In one short sentence, how would you describe your teaching style?

Challenging, fluid, precise and empowering.

Hot Power Flow Yoga.

What do you love about yoga/pilates?

Movement is my meditation and I love that yoga just flows naturally for me. Pilates came into my practice a little later and I love how it makes you so strong by moving consciously and slowly. Both practices enhance each other and adding pilates totally changed my strength in my yoga practice.

What made you want to complete your teacher training? Tell us a little bit more about your background.

I loved anything health/fitness related from a young age and becoming a yoga teacher somehow felt inevitable for me. I remember finishing my first ever yoga class and thinking that I wanted to be that teacher one day. A few years down the line, we’re here and I am able to make a full time living from doing what I absolutely love.

What kind of experience do you aim to create in your classes?

I love creating a beautiful balance between a challenging yet soft and kind practice. No class is ever the same, we come as we are and flow together.

What do you like to focus on in your classes?

Finding that state of flow while moving with the breath – moving together as a group and finding meditation in the movement. Also music is a big part of my class and I put a lot of effort in creating the perfect playlist for my sequences.

In one short sentence, how would you describe your teaching style?

Flowy, calming and always teaching from the heart.

What is your favourite class to teach?

Harlow B – this is closest to my heart and this is where I can really teach intuitively and flow.

I’m also having loads of fun teaching Harlow C, which is something I’m still growing into.

Sunshine, yoga and sharing great food with loved ones.

I love how pilates can help someone feel stronger, happier and fulfilled in their day. It’s an enjoyable way to work out which becomes so addictive!

I’ve been an English teacher for eight years so teaching comes naturally to me. I really got into pilates passionately about 6 years ago and after consistently practising for a few years, I decided to do my teacher training to be able to share a way of movement that made me feel so good with others. I absolutely love teaching pilates and love creating classes for clients.

What kind of experience do you aim to create in your classes?

I want my classes to flow and to feel creative and dynamic, giving clients opportunities to challenge themselves or to just enjoy the mind/ body connection pilates offers.

What do you like to focus on in your classes?

Flow, mind/body connection, strength and always a fun playlist!

Sessions have an emphasis on listening to your body and pushing yourself within your own limits, and the compassionate mantras they end and start sessions with make the whole experience feel like a warm hug. As a fairly private person I also really appreciate the lack of pressure to socialise - you can arrive early and enjoy the relaxing music, aromatherapy, and heat in silence with zero anxiety or judgement. They’re also the first membership I’ve ever belonged to who noticed when I hadn’t attended for a while and offered me free sessions to make up for the classes I’ve missed!
