We also offer a variety of classes to choose from, so you can find one that is right for you.

Here are a few tips for beginners:

  • Let your instructor know that you are new to Yoga or Pilates. They can help you modify poses and make sure you are getting the most out of your practice.
  • Don’t be afraid to ask for help. If you are struggling with a pose, don’t hesitate to ask your instructor for assistance.
  • Listen to your body. Don’t push yourself too hard, and take breaks when you need them.

What do I need to bring to the Newstead Studio?

What do I need to bring to the studio?

  • Yoga mat or towel: You can bring your own or rent one for $3 upon arrival. We recommend bringing a yoga mat or towel to help you stay comfortable during your practice.
  • Water bottle: We have a hand-free filtered water bottle filter in the concierge, so you can bring your own or purchase bottled water, coconut water, or Dash sparkling water. Staying hydrated is important during exercise, so be sure to bring a water bottle with you.
  • Locker: We provide lockers to secure your belongings while you practice. You can bring your own combination lock or purchase one for $10 at our concierge desk. This will help you keep your belongings safe while you focus on your practice.
What should I wear while doing Hot Mat Pilates and Hot Yoga?

Here are some recommendations on what to wear for Hot Yoga and Hot Pilates:

  • Comfortable clothing: You’ll want to wear clothing that allows you to move freely and won’t restrict your breathing. Choose fabrics that will wick away sweat and keep you cool, such as cotton or synthetic fabrics. Avoid wearing anything made of wool or other heavy fabrics, as these can make you feel too warm.
  • Shoes: You won’t need to wear shoes for Hot yoga or Hot pilates. In fact, we  practice barefoot to help improve your grip, grounding and balance in the Studio.
  • Accessories: You may want to bring a towel to wipe sweat from your face and body, and a water bottle to stay hydrated. You may also want to consider wearing a hat or sunglasses if you’re practicing in a hot room.
Should I Drive, Walk or Ride if I live in New Farm, Fortitude Valley, Tenerife or Newstead?

There are a few options for parking near our studio in Newstead:

  • Street parking: There is some street parking available near our studio, but it is limited and metered. It is best to arrive early to avoid a fine.
  • Public parking in Newstead: There are several public parking garages near our studio such as Gasworks.
  • Off-street parking: There are also a few private parking lots near our studio. The cost varies depending on the lot.
  • Public transportation: We also encourage our members to take public transportation to our studio. There are several bus stops and a City Cycle station located nearby.

If you are coming from New Farm, Fortitude Valley, or Teneriffe, you may also be able to walk or bike to our studio.

How do I book in for a class at your Studio Near Me?

Once you have signed up for a membership or intro pass, you will automatically receive your login information and a personalized link to download the Harlow Yoga app on iOS or Android. You can then use the app to see what classes are available, read class descriptions, and see which instructors are teaching.

To book a class, simply click on the “Book” button next to the class you would like to attend. You can also book classes in advance by using the class schedule on the Harlow Yoga website.

What are Harlow Rewards?

Harlow Rewards is a program that rewards members for attending classes and participating in other activities. Members can earn bonus classes, discounts, and other prizes.

Here are some of the ways to earn Harlow Rewards:

  • Attending classes: Members earn one bonus class for every 10 classes they attend.
  • Upgrading their membership: Members who upgrade to a 7-classes-per-week membership earn three bonus classes for every month they maintain the membership.
  • Participating in challenges: Members who participate in challenges earn bonus classes and other prizes.

One of the challenges you can participate in is to upgrade to a 7-classes-per-week membership for one month. If you do this and attend 100% of your classes, you will earn 3 bonus classes as a reward! This is a great way to challenge yourself and get rewarded for your commitment to your health.

I Forgot my app username or password on the Harlow App?
You can reset your username on your app, just click reset username and it will send you an email with your username, save this somewhere (it’s not your email address). You can do this at any time. Once you have your username, you can reset your password.
Do you offer discounts?

Yes, Harlow Yoga in Newstead offers a few different discounts:

How many Yoga and Pilates classes should I do each week?

Starting with one class per week is a great way to get started with Yoga and Pilates. It allows you to learn the basics of the practice and get comfortable with the movements. Once you have mastered the basics, you can gradually increase the number of classes you attend.

We recommend 3 classes per week for the following reasons:

  • It is enough to see results: Regular exercise is essential for maintaining good health and fitness. Studies have shown that 3-5 days of moderate-intensity exercise per week can help you lose weight, improve your cardiovascular health, and reduce your risk of chronic diseases.
  • It is affordable: Our 3-classes-per-week membership is just $35 per week, which is a great value for the amount of exercise you will get.
  • It is flexible: Our 3-classes-per-week membership is flexible, so you can attend classes whenever you want. You can also mix and match Yoga and Pilates classes, so you can find a routine that works for you.

If you are new to Yoga and Pilates, we recommend starting with one class per week and gradually increasing the number of classes you attend as you get fitter and more comfortable with the practice. However, if you are looking to see results and get the most out of your membership, we recommend attending 3 classes per week.

I am a Harlow Member, Can I bring a friend?

Of course! It’s more fun with a friend. Your friend can try our intro offer here.

If your friend purchases the intro pass, you will get 3 class credits on your Harlow account! And when your friend joins as a member, you will both get another 3 class credits on your account.

That’s a total of 6 class credits for you and your friend! You can use these class credits to attend any of our classes.

How do makeup classes work?

If you can’t make it to your class, simply cancel it before the start time and you will receive a makeup class. This makeup class will sit on your Harlow account for the life of your membership. You can use it at any time, and it stays there until you cancel your membership (or you can transfer your membership to a friend with the make up classes)

You can also book into any other available class straight away.

Makeup classes - I'm going away for extended time?

If you know in advance that you’ll be away for an extended period of time, you can downgrade your membership to save money. This will allow you to keep your membership benefits, such as your makeup classes, while adjusting the frequency of your classes to better suit your needs.

To downgrade your membership, simply email us 48 hours before your next debit. We will then process your change and it will take effect on your following debit.

Makeup classes have no expiration date and will remain available for you to use as long as you’re an active member. If you cancel your membership, you will lose your makeup classes.

We recommend downgrading your membership for extended periods away and then upgrading when you are back in action. This ensures you make the most of your membership and don’t miss out on any valuable sessions.

Makeup classes - I'm sick or going away?

If you’re going away or know you can’t make it to class, simply cancel your booking before the start time. You’ll receive a makeup class that will sit on your Harlow account for the life of your membership. You can use it at any time, or you can cancel your membership and lose it.

You can also book into any other available class straight away.

Makeup classes - can't be redeemed for cash
Makeup classes cannot be redeemed for cash or any other offer. However, you can downgrade your membership to use your makeup classes. To downgrade your membership, simply fill out our form and we will take care of the rest. Your makeup classes will remain on your Harlow account and you can book them into any available class straight away.
Makeup classes - Can I suspend?

We don’t offer suspensions, but you can cancel your class in advance (before the class booking time) and receive a makeup class (class credit) to use later. It will remain on your Harlow account for life or until you use it or cancel your membership.

So, if you have planned time off in 6 months, simply cancel your classes in that time or don’t book any classes and you will automatically receive class credits to use for later.

For extended absences, you can downgrade your weekly membership. Then, when you’re back in action, you can use any available makeup classes and then upgrade your membership to the amount of classes you wish to attend.

Please note that to upgrade/downgrade your membership, you need to fill in this form here and allow 48 business hours before your next debit. If you submit the form within 48 hours of your next debit, the changes will be applied to that debit.

How do I get 3 bonus classes by doing the 5 class a week Harlow challenge?

How do I get 3 bonus classes by doing the 3 class a week Harlow challenge?

To get 3 bonus classes by doing the 4 class a week Harlow challenge, simply fill in the UPGRADE/DOWNGRADE form and select “3 class challenge” as the reason for your contact. We will then automatically add 3 bonus classes to your account once you have attended 3 classes in a week.

The challenge will begin from the next direct debit date, so make sure to sign up before then!

  • The challenge must be completed within a 7-day period.
  • You must attend 12 + classes in total during the challenge period.
  • The bonus classes will be added to your account once you have completed the challenge.
  • The bonus classes can be used for any Harlow class.

I travel interstate, can I please just have once of classes?

We do not offer one-off classes, but our memberships are designed to accommodate your unique lifestyle.

To determine which membership is right for you, estimate the number of classes you would like to attend in a year and divide that number by 52. The corresponding monthly membership will give you access to that number of classes per month.

For example, if you estimate that you will attend 55 classes per year, you can choose our $25 weekly membership, which gives you access to one class per week. If you know you will be traveling interstate, you can cancel your class 15 minutes before the start time and you will receive a makeup class. You can then use that makeup class when you return to Brisbane.

You can also do Harlow classes on our app while you are away. All you need is an internet connection on your phone or mobile device.

If you are visiting Brisbane for the first time, we recommend trying out our Intro Pass. It is 3 sensational classes for $60 and it expires 7 days after your first visit.

Makeup Classes - I am having surgery can I suspend?

We do not offer class suspensions, but we do offer makeup classes. If you know you will be unable to attend classes due to surgery, you can cancel your classes 15 minutes before the start time and you will receive a makeup class. You can then use that makeup class when you are feeling better.

Another option is to downgrade your membership to one class per week while you are recovering. This will allow you to keep your membership benefits, such as your makeup classes, while adjusting the frequency of your classes to better suit your needs.

When you are ready to return to your regular membership, you can simply upgrade your membership again.

Can I purchase a class pack?

We do not offer class packs, but we do offer a membership that is similar to a class pack. Our membership costs $25 per week (direct debited fortnightly) and includes one class per week plus 95 professionally recorded Harlow classes (lifetime access). If you want additional classes, it is $5 per class per week. You can upgrade or downgrade your membership at any time by giving us 48 hours’ notice before your next debit.

Our membership is great because it allows you to cancel your classes before the start time and receive a makeup class that you can use later. This is similar to how class packs work. If you are going away for an extended period of time, we recommend cancelling your classes in advance so that you can have class credits to use when you return.

I left something behind at the Newstead Studio after class, how can I get it?

If you left something behind at the Newstead Studio after class, please come to the studio 15 minutes before class starts (at any of our classes) as soon as you can. Our lost property basket is behind our concierge desk, but our member care team is not based at the studio throughout the day. Lost property is removed from our premise every 2 weeks.

If you are unable to come to the studio, please contact us at love@harlowyoga.com.au and we will do our best to help you track down your lost property.

Should I do Hot Yoga or Hot Pilates if I'm pregnant?

No, you should not do Hot Yoga or Hot Pilates if you are pregnant. The high temperatures of these classes can raise your core temperature, which can be dangerous for your baby. It is recommended to avoid hot classes until the baby arrives.

There are many other forms of yoga and Pilates that are safe for pregnant women. You can consult with your doctor to find a class that is right for you. You will still have access to your 95 classes on your app.

Here are some tips for finding a safe yoga or Pilates class for pregnant women:

  • Look for a class that is specifically designed for pregnant women.
  • Ask the instructor about their experience teaching pregnant women.
  • Make sure the class is not too strenuous.
  • Listen to your body and take breaks when you need them.

I am new and I have an injury?
If you are new to yoga or Pilates and you have an injury, it is important to check with your doctor before starting any new exercise program. Your doctor can help you determine if yoga or Pilates is safe for you and can give you specific instructions on how to modify the poses to accommodate your injury.
When you arrive, please let your teacher know (walk up to them) that way they can keep an eye out for you throughout class to make sure they can provide safe adjustments for your condition.
